FAQ

Here are some answers to some common questions we get. Please reach out and contact us if there's something you're still curious about!

Q:

Where are you based? Are you willing to travel?

A:

We are based in both Warragul and Clayton. We are willing to travel to shoot on location, however, may charge extra if it is more than a couple of hours from either location.

Q:

Can you give us all the raw files and footage?

A:

Sorry, we do not give out the un-edited raw files or footage. This is because the files we shoot are very large (often exceeding 1TB per shoot), require speciality codecs and programs to open and often do not look visually appealing until they are colour graded and edited. Please reach out if you have any concerns.

Q:

What happens if it rains during the day of my wedding/shoot?

A:

If it rains on the day of your wedding or outdoor shoot, we will try our best to organise a supplemental re-shoot day. However, this may be subject to our availability.

Q:

What happens if your camera stops working?

A:

Every shoot we go to, we have at least one backup camera (often 2-3!) ready to go in case our primary gear fails. We also carry extra SD cards, lights, microphones and more to every shoot. Once the shoot ends, we backup all of the footage to 3 independent drives, one of which is on an off-site location (in case of a fire). However, accidents and unlucky days happen. If our primary cameras and backups do fail, we will re-do the shoot with you on another day, free of charge.

Q:

Can we meet prior to my wedding/shoot?

A:

Yes! We would love to meet you before your wedding and will schedule a consultation session over zoom with you about a month before the date. During this, we can discuss the details of the weddings, what kind of shots you’re after, where you’d like us to be during the wedding and much more! If you would like to meet with us prior to booking, please send us a message and we can arrange a time for a chat!

Q:

What are your prices?

A:

Please use the ‘Contact’ button at the top of our website to tell us about your project and we can get back to you with a quote. Depending on the project, we may either quote a lump sum price or an hourly rate. Our typical on-location shooting rate is $80/hr and $45/hr for editing, however, this may vary depending on the complexity of the shoot.

For weddings, you can see a price list under the ‘Weddings’ tile of our website.

On all projects, we take a non-refundable deposit to confirm the booking.

Q:

What are your turnaround times? When will I get my photos?

A:

For most client projects, we aim to get an initial draft of a video back to you within 30 days of the shoot day. For wedding videos, this time is 60 days. However, for large projects, this time may vary. If you need something edited faster, please reach out and we can discuss further. Unfortunately, editing is the most time consuming aspect of the production process and 1 hour of shooting will often correspond to about 3hrs of editing.

Q:

Can you do this kind of shoot?

A:

Please reach out and tell us about your project and we can let you now whether or not we can do it. You can see the types of shoots we do most often on the front page of our website. We are pretty good problem solvers and can work with you to work out how to shoot your project!

Q:

How will I get my media?

A:

We deliver the media back to you via an online link where you can download the photos or video to your own computer. Please note that this link will expire after 30 days, but feel free to reach out if you have lost or require another copy of your video.

Q:

Can you use this song in my wedding video?

A:

Unfortunately, due to copyright laws, we can’t legally use a lot of common songs in our videos. This also includes ambient music that may be playing in the background of your wedding dance. While they can be licenced, they often will cost thousands of dollars and take weeks of back and forth with the studio. However, if you would like to pay to licence a song, we are very happy to use it.

We pay subscriptions to licence a large library of music that we can legally use. While editing, we will usually choose the music ourselves that we think best fits the vibe of your video. However, let us know if you would like to be involved in this process.
